HabitStreak was renamed Habiro in September 2026. It is the same app from the same developer. Your habits, streaks, and Lifetime Unlock carry over automatically, and there is nothing you need to do. The App Store and Google Play may show the old name until the next app update.
Tap the + button on the main screen, enter your habit name, choose an icon, and set your schedule. That's it — you're ready to start tracking!
A streak counts how many consecutive days you've completed a habit. Miss a day and your streak resets to zero. Keeping your streak alive is a powerful motivator!
You earn XP (experience points) every time you complete a habit. As you accumulate XP, you'll level up from Beginner all the way to Legend. Longer streaks earn bonus XP!
On your device only. Habiro has no accounts and no cloud — all your habits, streaks, and progress are stored locally on your phone (or in your browser's localStorage if you use the free web demo). Nothing is ever uploaded to our servers.
Go to Settings → Export Data to save a complete JSON backup of all your habits and history. To restore it (for example, on a new phone), use Settings → Import Data and select your backup file. We recommend exporting a backup regularly, since deleting the app deletes your data.
In version 3.0, Habiro went local-only for privacy: accounts, cloud sync, and groups were removed, and there's no subscription anymore. Existing users' data was migrated onto their device automatically when they updated. Solo features — streaks, badges, XP, insights, and personal challenges — all remain.
Export a backup on your old device (Settings → Export Data), transfer the JSON file to your new device, install Habiro, and use Settings → Import Data. Then tap Restore Purchases if you own the lifetime unlock.

Tap Restore Purchases on the unlock screen (paywall). Make sure your device is signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase. Note: this restores the unlock, not your habit data — use Export/Import in Settings to move your data.
Personal challenges are optional goals like Triple Threat, Perfect Day, and Three-peat that award bonus XP when completed. Free users can run 1 challenge at a time; lifetime users can run up to 3.
No. Habiro works fully offline — tracking, analytics, badges, and reminders all run on your device. You only need a connection to buy or restore the lifetime unlock.
Habit data lives only on your device, so it doesn't transfer automatically. Restore it by importing a JSON backup you exported from your old device (Settings → Import Data). If you didn't make a backup and no longer have the old device, the data unfortunately can't be recovered.
