At Habiro (operated by Rooks Labs LLC), we take your privacy seriously — so seriously that starting with version 3.0, Habiro has no accounts and no backend. This Privacy Policy explains what little information is involved in using the app, and where it lives.
Habiro does not require an account, and we do not operate servers that store your habit data. All of your habits, completion records, streaks, notes, moods, badges, XP, and settings are stored only on your device:
Your habit data is never sent to our servers, and we have no ability to access, read, or recover it. Backups exist only in storage you control: on iOS, the app mirrors your data into your own iCloud account (visible to you and Apple's encrypted infrastructure, never to us), and on Android your data is included in Android's own app backup to your Google account. You can also export and import a JSON backup of all your data anytime from Settings. If you delete the app without any of these backups, your data is gone.
We do not sell personal information. Ever.
A small number of third-party services are involved in running the app. None of them receive your habit data:
Reminders and notifications are scheduled locally on your device — they do not go through our servers.
Habiro offers a single one-time in-app purchase (the $4.99 Lifetime Unlock) in the iOS and Android apps. The transaction is processed by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. The web demo is free and offers no purchases.
If you used an earlier version of Habiro with an account, your data was migrated onto your device when you updated to version 3.0, and the old cloud accounts and servers were shut down. Server-side data from earlier versions has been deleted.
Habiro is not designed for children under 13. Because the app has no accounts and collects no personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, by email), please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or on this page. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you're a California resident, you have rights to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Because Habiro stores your data only on your device and we do not collect or sell personal information, there is nothing on our servers to disclose or delete — but you can always contact us with questions, and you have the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
